Francisco Benitez is a visual artist who works primarily in video, digital art, and original installations that combine several art forms. In Mexico, he has had more than 10 solo shows, most recently with the show Parabola in October 2009, of which more details can be found under articles. His work has also been exhibited in multiple collective shows throughout Mexico in the cities Monterrey, Zacatecas, Aguas Calientes, Oaxaca, Morelia, Querétaro, and Tijuana; as well as internationally in Argentina, Japan, Holland, and Italy.
He has also worked as a curator for other artists’ shows in Mexico, and has received three grants from the state of Nuevo Leon in Mexico for his artistic productions. Currently he lives and works in Monterrey, Mexico where he continues to push the boundaries in his art as well as challenge his students to create their best work where he teaches at TEP (Taller de Experimentación Plástica- Experimental Studio of Sculpture).
This spring his art, and that of a few other artists from this site, will be featured in an exhibition traveling through various cities in England.
