Darío Ramírez was born at February 15th 1978 in Mexico City, from 1997 to 2001. He studied Visual Arts in the National School of Plastic Arts , UNAM, in 2009. He achieved a grant to prosecute studies in Art Space in the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
He has exhibited several times nacionally and internationally, his most recent solo exhibition Residuos Múltiples at the Manuel García Contemporary Art Gallery ; we can emphasize his participations in the bienal shows of contemprary Art SIART.
2001 and 2003, The Triennial of mini-print in Tokyo Japan in the 2002 and 2005 emissions, Graphic Reallity, Printmakers Today in the International Print Center in New York City and The Triennial of engraving in Cracow, both in 2006, Pasajes de la Distopía in the National Print Museum in 2007 and Entre Ruinas in the Arroniz Contemporary Art Gallery. Between some of his most important achievements we have the Young Artists grant in 2002 and 2006 emissions, The Special Prize in the X Graphic contest Jose Guadalupe Posada, the Third place in the XIVth Graphical Art Triennial of Frechen, Germany, the Acquisition Prize in two times of the Los Angeles Puebla Biennial, as well as several honorific mentions in the First Rufino Tamayo Biennial of Print, the Contemporary young Art Biennial SIART 01 in Bolivia, and in the National Young Art Contest in 2004 and 2008. He takes part in the FACE Fair in 2007 . His work has been published in the MART catalogue for New Collectors 08-09.
